As a sober man since 2014, Chris is passionate about helping others escape the black hole of addiction, untreated trauma, and mental health. Since 2016, he has worked in the fields of substance use disorder and mental health in a variety of roles such as Director of Admissions, Director of Alumni Services, Group Facilitator, Recovery Coach, and Sober Companion. He is a CCAR Certified Recovery Coach, RYT 200 Yoga and meditation teacher, certified SMART facilitator, and Refuge Recovery facilitator.
He has worked with individuals at all ends of the spectrum, from professional athletes to young people coming into treatment for the first time. He has been a sober coach and companion to high-net-worth individuals on Palm Beach Island, and worked in a hospital setting. He has worked with patients who have struggled with major mental health issues manic episodes, hallucinations, previous suicide
attempts, combative, etc.
As a Recovery Coach & Companion, Chris believes in empowering clients by helping them see that the answers they are searching for are already inside of them, they just need help finding their strength again, and often encouragement and accountability to consistently follow their treatment team’s professional recommendations. Chris is a strong advocate for clients, and as such, works well with their families and other professionals to set up an individualized playbook for success.
In recent years, he has done coaching for those with mental health as the primary without addiction. He worked with someone with a personality disorder and another with ASD and low-functioning individuals and BDL.
