The City of Stuart Strengthens Employee Wellness Strategy Through Spirence Partnership

The City of Stuart has demonstrated a genuine and intentional commitment to employee well-being. Through its Wellness Ambassador program, the City has built an internal network of advocates dedicated to fostering a supportive and healthy culture across its workforce. Already, these Ambassadors have helped drive meaningful engagement in the Spirence platform, a reflection of the kind of supportive community the City is actively building from within.

“The City of Stuart has worked intentionally to build a culture where employee well-being is prioritized and openly supported,” said Roz Johnson Strong, M. ED, Human Resources Director for the City of Stuart. “Partnering with Spirence allows us to expand that commitment by giving employees accessible tools and resources they can use in their everyday lives.”

Spirence builds on the City of Stuart’s commitment by providing on-demand mental health education, live coaches, and resources that their workforce can access anytime. This type of support meets employees in their daily moments, helping them stay well, build resilience, and manage stress and anxiety before it takes a toll. This partnership is funded through the City’s Cigna wellness dollars, at no additional cost to taxpayers.

The City of Stuart’s employees are on the front lines serving its residents every day. Equipping them with the tools to stay well means they can show up as their best for themselves and the people who depend on them. When city employees feel mentally well and supported, the benefits are felt throughout the entire community.

“We love working with the City of Stuart because they truly invest in their team’s mental well-being,” said Laura Kunz, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Spirence. “They understand how it impacts productivity, retention, and daily presence. They see the bigger picture, and that’s why working with them is so rewarding.”

Spirence and the City of Stuart would also like to extend their gratitude to Gehring Group, Brown & Brown Public Sector for bringing this partnership to life. Their dedication to connecting organizations with meaningful employee benefits made this collaboration possible.

The City of Stuart is joining a growing number of organizations who recognize that equipping their people with the tools and support to stay well long before challenges escalate is the foundation for creating a happier, healthier, and stronger workforce.

About Spirence

Spirence is a preventative mental health platform designed for the 75% of today’s workforce who are underserved by traditional models of care. These individuals may not identify as “sick,” but they still need meaningful, accessible support to navigate everyday stress, build resilience, and stay well.

Spirence delivers a personalized, preventative mental health experience that meets employees in their daily moments, not just in times of crisis. By embedding employer-sponsored benefits directly into the experience, Spirence removes barriers to access and drives significantly higher engagement than traditional mental health solutions.

The result is a proactive investment in people that helps employees feel supported, understood, and equipped before challenges escalate, transforming mental health from a reactive expense into an everyday foundation for performance and well-being.
